Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Product care guidelines

  • Store your wooden chess set away from direct sunlight and in an area with balanced humidity. As the wood is not UV-resistant, it should be kept indoors only. The recommended temperature range is 54°F (12°C) to 77°F (25°C).

  • Keep the product away from heat sources or any surface that emits direct heat.

  • To maintain its shine, clean gently with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth to remove any dust or smudges.

Cancellation policy

Customers can place a cancellation request only before the order is prepared for dispatch. Although we cannot guarantee cancellation in every case, our team will do its best to process your request as quickly as possible.

Once the order has been packed or shipped, cancellation is no longer possible. However, customers can choose to return or exchange the item after it is delivered, following our return policy.

In cases of customer-initiated cancellations or refunds for remote delivery locations, the entire amount paid will be refunded to the buyer.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

After we properly inspect the item, we will issue a refund less the shipping costs of shipping the item originally to the customer. If any duty / taxes have been paid by Boss Handicrafts to government of the importing country, that would also be deducted from refund.

You may request a return in the following situations:

  1. Change of Mind:
    If you ordered the wrong item, it doesn’t meet your expectations, or you no longer wish to keep it.

  2. Product Issue:
    If the product received is faulty, damaged during shipping, or not the correct item as per your order.

 

Warranty and Replacement

 

We offer a 3-year warranty on all chess pieces purchased from Boss Handicrafts.

  • This warranty covers manufacturing defects and unintentional damage under normal usage conditions.
  • Any instance of damage in transit has to be reported within 48 hours of receipt.
  • If your chess pieces are found to have any defects or damage within this period, we will provide a free replacement.
  • The warranty applies only to chess pieces and does not cover chessboards or any other accessories.
  • To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us with proof of purchase and clear photos or videos showing the issue.
  • If you are requesting a refund or exchange, please ensure you make an unboxing video of the product at the time of opening the package. This helps us validate your claim quickly and accurately.
  • 6 months guarantee against manufacturing defects (cracking or warping) for Chess Boards, Wooden Storage Boxes and Travel Chess Sets

Replacement

We make every effort to ensure that the products you receive are in perfect condition. However, in exceptional cases, the following issues may occur:

  1. The product may have been damaged during shipping.

  2. There could be a defect from manufacturing.

  3. You might receive an incorrect item by mistake.

If any of the above situations occur, we will replace the product free of charge.

We reserve the right to inspect and assess all claims before issuing a replacement or refund.

 

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if there are manufacturing defect or damage. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at bosshandicrafts@gmail.com and send your item to: J-18/79, Gali No.1, Abadi Kot Mit Singh, Opp. Sawek Gym, Amritsar- 143001.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: J-18/79, Gali No.1, Abadi Kot Mit Singh, Opp. Sawek Gym, Amritsar- 143001.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
