Description
The design for these chess pieces has been inspired by several of the Pre- Staunton Designs that were prevalent before the advent of 1849 Staunton pattern chessmen.
The hand-carved work on all the pieces is simply extraordinary, bringing to life all the pieces on the chessboard. This design is sure to please any enthusiastic chess connoisseur or makes for a fantastic gift for a chess lover.
The distress antiquing on the pieces is quite stunning which gives the appearance of patina on vintage chessmen which have been worn out over decades of use.
Camel Bone which is the primary substrate used in making these chess pieces is an excellent material due to its carving properties and when finished, it gives off a beautiful luster and ranks very high on collectability.
