The Dubrovnik chess set is a timeless design classic that originated in 1950 for the 9th Chess Olympiad in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The set’s design was commissioned to reflect the elegance and rich cultural heritage of Dubrovnik, known for its stunning medieval architecture and historical significance.
